Staff
OBCI is pleased to announce that Stephanie Cobb has joined our team as the receptionist.
Stephanie's role will be to warmly greet each caller and direct them to the appropriate personnel. In addition the position requires a strong ability to multitask since she will assist the entire accounting team with various reporting and bookkeeping functions. We are confident that Stephanie will perform well. She formerly worked at another construction firm in Morton for 18 years, where her husband continues to work. Stephanie and her husband have one daughter and live in Pekin. We look forward to working with Stephanie and anticipate her demonstrating to our stakeholders a strong level of professionalism and work ethic. Welcome aboard Stephanie!
We are pleased to announce that Dave Boyer has joined OBCI.
On behalf of the OBCI Management Team, we are pleased to announce that Dave Boyer has joined OBCI. His first day for OBCI will be Tuesday, April 23rd. We hired Dave to manage the work we’ve recently landed at Centennial Drive in East Peoria and Pennsylvania Ave in Peoria. Dave has worked for two of the area’s largest civil contractors over the past 25 years. Dave gained extensive experience in and out of the operator’s seat during this time and will apply his leadership and job management skills on the OBCI team. Dave is a member of Operators local 649 and has extensive experience managing multiple projects. Additionally, he’s knowledgeable with HCSS Heavy Job and has an extensive understanding and utilization of Trimble’s GPS technology.
Because of Dave’s field knowledge, experience, and past leadership success in civil construction, we are excited that he is joining our team. As a result we anticipate strengthening our civil operations for future growth and profitability. Please join me in welcoming Dave to the OBCI Team.
We are pleased to welcome Mitch Green to the OBCI Team.
We are pleased to welcome Mitch Green to the OBCI Team as a Junior Estimator/Project Manager. Mitch was a December 2012 graduate from SIU Edwardsville, where he majored in Construction Management and minored in Business Administration. We were able to get to know Mitch over the summer as he interned with us. He made a great impression on the team, but unfortunately we weren't able to offer him a full time position at the time of his graduation. However, that's recently changed and we are glad to welcome Mitch back to the team.
Mitch will work with the various estimators and superintendents and provide support services. With OBCI's renewed emphasis on civil construction, we've decided to acquire ISQFT bid solicitation software to assist with subcontractor participation. He'll work in conjunction with Terri Tesdall utilizing this software. Additional responsibilities will include preparation of IDOT and municipal preconstruction documents, assisting with T & M billings, setting up field offices, digitizing plans & cross sections, and measuring quantities in the field. While Mitch will not be exclusive to the civil side of our business, much of his focus will be related to it.
Welcome back Mitch!
