Jessica Stake joins OBCI as Receptionist
OBCI is pleased to announce that Jessica Stake has joined the OBCI Team as Receptionist. She is a 2010 graduate of East Peoria High School. We welcome Jessica and wish her great success in her new position.
OBCI hires Jeff Smith as an Estimator/Project Manager for the Concrete and Earthwork Team
Jeff’s been in the construction industry for around 20 years, and served the concrete and earthwork industry as an estimator many of those years. Jeff and his wife live in Morton with their two teenage children. We welcome Jeff aboard and wish him success.
Rich Swanson joins OBCI as Director of Safety
OBCI is pleased to announce that Rich Swanson has joined the OBCI Team as the Director of Safety. Rich has vast experience and knowledge in the safety world. He is a certified CHST and has many other safety related credentials. At OBCI Rich has responsibility to lead OBCI’s efforts in further developing our safety culture, without compromising productivity and quality. He will ensure OBCI’s compliance with the numerous laws and regulations required in our industry, but more importantly, lead employees toward taking personal responsibility for the safety on their job through education, training, and inspections. Not only does Rich possess the technical knowledge and skills to move OBCI’s program to the next level, but he has a great social skills that will aid implementation of safety initiatives in the field. Rich will relocate his family from Martinsville, Indiana in the coming months, where he has served Indiana contractors for the past 20 years.
Welcome back Gene Garrison
OBCI welcomes back Gene Garrison. Gene has served in a variety of positions throughout the past twenty-five years or so; from laborer, to foreman, and superintendent. Gene retired from the Pekin Laborer’s Hall back in August of this year. On December 2nd, Gene will begin yet another position with OBCI working as an assistant in the Morton warehouse replacing the retiring Neil Rugaard. We believe Gene’s work ethic, dependability, and vast knowledge of the construction industry will serve the company well in the warehouse. He’ll open the gates at 5:00 am each day and assist in a multitude of tasks within the warehouse in order to support field operations. Welcome back Gene!
